About the animation

This is the bouncing ball that I made in Photoshop. I used the Frame Timeline to put my frames in order to make the ball look like it is bouncing with the frames of the ball stretching and squashing.

.Insomnia. This project was a fun one to make. Though it was made in just a few hours, Jordan and I created a pretty good looking project. I feel like I slaked off in this project given the amount of time we were given. I kept putting this project off due to work, school and the feature film I am currently working on, but this does not excuse the utter slack of work I put into this. We filmed and directed this in 25 minutes and I edited all footage and sound in around 45 minutes to an hour. This concept was a different one that was chosen at first. We decided that this concept would be easier to produce. While this was short, this is the most editing I have done for a film, ever. It was very complicated with the light-leaks and the transitions that I used. The audio was the hardest thing that I had to edit. EVA Short Film

In EVA we had to create a cohesive script and one that we could actually produce. So while in pre-production we chose to change the script so we could finish the movie on time. We didn't do much storyboarding because our group felt like they held back the creativeness of the group and actors.  During the production we went with what felt right. Since we didn't storyboard we let the actors freely convey their emotions. I was the cinematographer and I was not happy with my camera skills but I did learn how to use the camera settings to create different moods and how to use different lenses to make more emotional scenes for the audience. Skai, the director, lead the group into her vision of the movie but also letting room for creativeness. Poly Thing

Poly Thing This is my poly thing we made in Maya. We used a sphere then used a cylinder through it to make the hole with the Difference tool. We learned all the different kinds of lights that we can use to create amazing effects like the one you see to the left. I used the directional light to make a key light, a fill light, and a back light. The key light has a small shade of blue in it and the fill light has a small shade of yellow. The back light was used just to make the poly thing stand out of the background. I hope to get better at lighting and get better at Maya in general.
